Shane Halcon’s story is packed with excitement, drama and entertainment all starting with humble “small town” beginnings in Pretoria, South Africa where he, as a teen, established himself as an aspiring professional sportsman, and, after a dramatic career change, turned to a world renowned DJ.

 

After a one year-long collaboration as part of established EDM duo, First State, Shane decided it was time to take a step back and return to his roots, back to the Progressive and Trance sounds that sparked his passion years prior. This return was welcomed by fans and, also inspired the name for his new radio show, “Reprise”. 

 

Some of the accolades Shane can lay claim to is the honor of performing (Solo and part of First State) at the world's biggest club Privilege for ASOT550, ASOT 550 Moscow, Ministry of Sound (UK), Kazantip (UA), A residency at Ibiza's long standing Es Paradis, Istanbul Official Formula 1 Gran Prix Pre-party, Hosting his own floor at Africa's largest EDM event H2O, Miami Music Week, Amsterdam Dance Event and Gatecrasher along with numerous residencies and other high profile events. 

 

As a solo artist Shane's work includes mixing more than 10 CD compilations, some of them for Toolroom Records and Armada Music amongst others, and his releases have been supported by Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk, Richard Durand, Solarstone, Above & Beyond, Myon & Shane54, Judge Jules, Dash Berlin, Gareth Emery, Cosmic Gate, Roger Shah, Eddie Halliwell, Paul Oakenfold, Mat Zo, and many more.
